Legacy & Estate Gifts: Ensuring a Future in the Arts
For over a century, The Art League of Nassau County has championed the arts-nurturing creativity, education, and community engagement across Long Island. As we look ahead to the next hundred years, we invite you to become part of our enduring legacy.

Leaving a Legacy of Art and Inspiration
A legacy gift - also known as a planned or estate gift - allows you to make a lasting contribution to the future of the League while meeting your own financial and philanthropic goals. Through thoughtful planning, your gift can support art education, scholarships, exhibitions, and programs for generations to come.
Legacy gifts may be structured in several ways, including:
-
Bequests through a will or living trust
-
Beneficiary designations on retirement accounts, insurance policies, or bank accounts
-
Gifts of securities, such as stocks, bonds, or mutual funds
-
Charitable remainder trusts or annuities, providing lifetime income with residual support to the League
-
Donations of art, equipment, or other valuable property consistent with the League’s mission

These gifts are vital in sustaining our nonprofit organization and are governed under New York State Not-for-Profit Corporation Law (N-PCL) and applicable IRS charitable giving regulations, ensuring full compliance and transparency.
All such contributions are administered in accordance with the League’s governing bylaws and financial policies, under the oversight of its Board of Directors and Treasurer.
The Art League of Nassau County is recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt charitable organization, and donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent permitted by law.
