Entry Deadline: May 22nd, 2026 Receiving: Thursday, May 28th 10--1pm at the Arboretum Horticulture Center

 

 

To Enter: Contact Nancy Wernersbach at nwern@msn.com to register for event. Deadline May 22nd. Artists will have free parking. Participants can paint outdoors May 28th--31st. Come anytime: Paint 1 day or all 3!

Art Exhibit Entry: Up to 2 paintings per Artist. Artwork must be a Nature Theme: Orchids, Planting Fields Arboretum, flowers, gardens, landscapes, birds, animals. Media accepted: oil, watercolor, acrylic, pastel, graphics & mixed media. No photography, print reproductions, collage or computer generated artwork.

Maximum size: 30" all around including frame. Must be wired for hanging. No sawtooth hangers. No wet paintings. Gallery wrap canvas is acceptable if all sides are painted and art is wired on the back.

Receiving: Thursday, May 28th, 10am to 1pm at the Arboretum Conference Center. You may drive up to the Conference Center for delivery and pick up. Map & Parking Pass will be emailed ahead of Set Up Day.

Bonus: Participants may enter 3 unframed artworks for the sales rack. Unframed work must be displayed in clear plastic sleeves for protection. Make extra copies of the label below for the unframed pieces. Max size: 30".

Entry Fee: Free to Full members of the LIOS, ALNC and SAL.

Sales: LIOS handles all sales at the Festival. A 20% Commission to the Long Island Orchid Society.

 

 

Pick Up: Sunday, May 31st at 5pm. If you cannot be there at that time, please make arrangements for your work to be picked up. There are no storage facilities at Planting Fields.
